From Pastor Mike's Good Morning message in the bulletin:

Two frogs fell into a tub of cream. One looked at the high sides of the tub which were too difficult to crawl over and said, “It is hopeless.” So he resigned himself to death, relaxed, and sank to the bottom. The other one determined to keep swimming as long as he could. “Something might happen,” he said. He kept kicking and churning, and finally he found himself on a solid platform of butter and jumped to safety.

I believe with all my heart that God is going to do a huge work here in First Street Community Church. Therefore, this frog is going to swim with all of his might, and as he swims, he is going to pray. You see as G. Campbell Morgan put it, “Waiting for God is not laziness. Waiting for God is not going to sleep. Waiting for God is not the abandonment of effort. Waiting for God means, first, activity under command; second, readiness for any new command that may come; third, the ability to do nothing until the command is given.”

Won’t you join me? The more of us who swim, the sooner the milk turns to butter.
